These are the official guidelines for the Purex® Insider Program, sponsored by Purex, a division of The Dial Corporation. We have created these guidelines to as a way to help you become the best Insider you can be. In addition, please review our Terms and Conditions, which can be found as a link on www.purexinsiders.com, (our "Website"), which governs your use of the Website. Your use of the Website also indicates to us that you have read and accepted our privacy practices, as outlined in our Privacy Policy located with a link that is also located on the Website. Finally your use of the Website and any personal information you provide on the Website remains subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our Terms and Conditions.
Purex® Insiders are a hand-selected group of people chosen to be the first to try, review and spread the word about brand new products from Purex®. Insiders also receive the chance to participate in special promotions and giveaways.
Emerging platforms for online collaboration are changing the way we interact with friends, consumers, colleagues, and the world at large. It has grown into a new model for interaction and it's a way for consumers to take part in global conversations with companies and brands.
The choice to participate in the Purex Insider Program is yours. If you do, please follow these guiding principles:
Provide unique, personal insights on what's going on with Purex® Complete 3-in-1™ brand.
Post meaningful, respectful comments - i.e. no spam and off topic remarks.
Be authentic, honest and conversational - leave the marketing talk and press releases to the professionals for other parts of the Website.
Reply to comments and questions in a timely manner with constructive feedback. Allow negative posts and avoid getting defensive but delete the spam; turning the negative into a positive is the key.
When dealing with the opinions of others, use good judgment and keep it cool and respectful.
When you post a comment, note or blog, do so under your real name, position and that you are an Insiders, and if you are giving your opinion, make it clear that it is your opinion and not that of any other person or organization.
Abide by the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy
Have productive conversations. For Purex® brand, the primary benefits of Internet participation are for others to learn about Purex products and innovations and for Purex brand, in turn, to learn from its consumers.
Honesty of Opinion. Honesty and dishonesty are easily discovered in the social media world. If you are posting about being a Purex® Insider or Purex® Complete 3-in-1™ brand, as stated above, use your real name, state that you are an Insider and your role. If you have a vested interest in something you are talking about, try to be the first to declare it.
Write what you know. Ensure that what you write and post about are in relevant areas, especially as it relates to you and Purex brand. Remember, you are personally responsible for the content you submit.
Be mindful of your impact. In online social networks, the lines between public and private, personal and professional are blurred. By identifying your self as a Purex Insider, you are making statements about Purex brand and yourself to consumers, friends, and the general public. Be sure that all content associated with you is consistent with your work and with the values of Purex brand products.
It's a conversation. Talk to your readers like you would talk to people on the street. Don't be afraid to bring in your own personality and speak what you feel. Use content that's open-ended and encourages responses and comments.
Look before you leap. Use sound judgment and think about reactions to your post before you post it. Remember that whatever you post may live for many years on the Web. And remember that you are representing Purex brand.
Mistakes. Be the first to correct your own mistakes, and don't alter previous posts without indicating that you have done so.
Adding Value. The best way to get your posts read is to write stuff that people will value. Social communication from Purex brand should be designed to help moms and consumers. It should be thought provoking and establish a sense of community. If a post creates a conversation, helps people improve their knowledge or skills; leads to a better home life; assists them with their jobs; frees up time; or enables them to understand Purex brand's social mission better - then that post has value.
Self Promotion. This Purex Insider Program is not about you; ergo, don't self promote. Your goal should be to assist and inform the community about matters that are important to you and which may be helpful to other members of this online community.
Responsibility. What you write is your responsibility. Participation in social computing on behalf of Purex products is earned; therefore it should be taken seriously . You should be following these Social Media Guidelines as well as the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Failure to do so could jeopardize your participation with the Purex Insider Program.
Excitement. We are proud of the innovations we are making as a brand. Let's share the exciting things we are doing with the mothers and families around us.
The Power is Yours. The decision about what you publish is yours but so is the responsibility. Be sure about what you are about to publish. If something is bothering you, take the time to review it before you publish.
